Humble Beginnings

Graham Roberts joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1978 as a Clearance Diver, in 1989, while at Clearance Diving Team 2 (the deep sea team), he was selected for the civilian underwater welding and cutting course, after already completing the Department of Defence underwater welding certification.
After leaving the navy, in 1990, he worked for various diving companies around the world, employed as an underwater welder, on mostly oil platforms off shore. In 1994, he started a company in Cairns Called RV Fabrications Cairns Pty Ltd.

A Thriving Business

Since 1994, we have built tippers, fitted Cranes, fabricated tow bars, fitted tow bars, ring feeders and turn tables, extended wheelbases, fitted PTO’s, fitted trailer brakes and trailer brake controls. We have also manufactured semi-trailers and dog trailers, fitted after-market air cleaner systems, altered wheelbases (longer & shorter) including tail shaft centre bearing cross members.
Not only this, but we have also fitted and relocated air brake components, installed tail gate loaders. Furthermore, we have manufactured bodies and fitted them, moved and altered fuel systems and built 4x4 buses. The list is endless!

Authorised Business

Here at RV Fabrications, we are a Queensland Department of Transport authorised Officer and a Registered Production Facility (Lic. No. P8488), a Registered Design Facility (Lic. No. D8489) and also hold a Road Vehicle Certification System (RVCS Lic. No. L8487) from the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (formally Federal Office of Road Safety). Not only this, but we have a Quality Policy in place.
